Formed, reinforced and poured for what goes on top — Hutto, Williamson County.
Everything we pour in Hutto sits on former cotton and sorghum ground, which is Blackland clay in its purest form. Flat, easy to work, and about as seasonally active as soil gets in this state.
A new house here is on a builder's slab that was engineered for it. Anything you add afterwards has to be built to the same standard, or the addition moves at a different rate from the house it is attached to.
That last point is the one worth paying for in Hutto. An under-built addition slab beside a properly engineered house slab does not fail on its own — it opens a crack at the join, which is the most visible place on the whole build. Reinforcement and preparation are what stop that.
We take the whole project, not just one part of it.
